Methodology
How Elixon scores content
Every number on Elixon is derived from real engagement data collected daily. This page explains where our data comes from, how we score it, and why our analysis is different from surface-level metrics.
Data collection
Elixon's Content Library monitors organic Instagram posts and Meta Ads Library creatives across 70+ industry categories. Our automated pipeline runs daily, collecting engagement metrics from tracked accounts and scoring each piece of content against its category benchmarks.
We track public data only — likes, comments, views, follower counts, posting cadence, and creative format. No private data, no ad spend figures, no proprietary advertiser metrics. Everything in our Content Library is derived from publicly accessible information.

The Elixon Opportunity Score
Every post in the Content Library receives an Elixon Opportunity Score from 0 to 100. The score measures how much a post outperforms its expected engagement given the account's follower count and industry norms. A score of 60 doesn't mean “good” in isolation — it means the content performed significantly above what a typical post from a similar account would achieve.

What goes into the score
The Elixon Opportunity Score is a composite of engagement rate relative to follower count, absolute engagement volume, content format performance (video typically outperforms static images at scale), posting recency, and comment-to-like ratio as a proxy for genuine audience interaction versus passive scrolling.
We deliberately do not factor in ad spend, reach, or impressions because that data is not publicly available for ordinary commercial ads. Our scoring tells you what content resonated with audiences based on observable engagement — not what an advertiser paid to distribute.
Industry coverage
Content is classified into 70+ industry verticals. Each industry has its own engagement benchmarks because a 2% engagement rate means something very different for a luxury brand with 50 million followers than it does for a local dental practice with 5,000.
Industry classification is applied at the account level, not the post level. When an account is added to our tracking, it is assigned an industry based on its profile, content focus, and business category. Posts inherit their account's industry classification and are scored against that industry's benchmarks.
Weekly intelligence articles
Each week, Elixon publishes data-backed analysis of what's working in each industry. These articles are generated from real Content Library data — every statistic, engagement figure, and trend cited in an article comes from posts we've scored that week.
We use AI (Claude by Anthropic) to write the analysis, but the data inputs are real. The AI does not fabricate statistics. Every number in a weekly article traces back to a specific post in our database with a verified engagement count. The articles are reviewed before publication.
Answer engine
Elixon's answer pages target real questions that appear in Google's “People Also Ask” boxes. We source these questions directly from Google Search results using SERP API data — not AI guesses about what people might ask.
When a question relates to an industry we cover, the answer is grounded in real engagement data from our Content Library. When the question is factual or technical, we provide expert analysis based on publicly available information. Every answer is reviewed before publication.
Who built this
Elixon was built by Usman Qureshi, founder of Brand Media Works FZE, a UAE-based consulting firm established in 2022. Usman's background spans finance, investment, and digital marketing consulting — experience that shaped Elixon's focus on data-driven advertising decisions over creative guesswork.
Elixon was founded in 2025 to solve a problem Usman saw repeatedly in consulting engagements: marketing teams spending hours manually researching competitor ads, then producing creative assets across disconnected tools with no feedback loop to what was actually working in their industry.
The platform is operated by Brand Media Works FZE (Trade Licence 12738). A company registered in The United Arab Emirates.
